Xbox Series X 120 fps and Resolution Issue

Bit of backstory I sold my gaming pc that i used to run on 140+ fps in all my games high-ultra (i think this is why im so un used to console gaming). I know I wont get the same quality but it should be somewhat close

 

Anyway, I bought the Series X yesterday cause i wanted better performance than the Series S. I downloaded: Cod MW3, Forza Horizon 5, Gears of War Ultimate Edition. I am using a 1440p dell 1ms 165hz gaming monitor. In settings I am using 1440p resolution but the performance I am getting is bad.

 

In forza, on quality mode its unplayable its like getting 10fps, when in performance mode i feel like its 40-50 fps and the quality certainly is NOT 1440p. Same thing in Gears of War, fps is maybe 60-90 but resolution is NOT 1440p i know this because I had 1440p low quality on my pc (usually ran high but wanted to see what i would get on console) and its nothing alike. Then cod is kinda the same, i get maybe 80-100 fps but again, its not 1440p quality at all. I bought the x to save money after selling my pc but im disappointed in the quality. I feel like my games are running at 1080p 40fps

 

My monitor is Dell 27inch 1440p

Sounds like either something is wrong with your xbox, or something
Because Forza 5 should either be running at 30 or 60 fps

Gears of War Ultimate Edition is an early Xbox One game and doesn't support the Xbox Series X feature set. It's 30fps in single player and 60fps in multi player. At 1080p

 

Modern Warfare 3 hasn't recieved extensive testing but MW2 ran at 2730x1540p with dynamic res down to 1365x1540 in its 120fps mode at 90-110fps in most cases 

 

Forza Horizon 5 runs at 2160x3840 with 4xMSAA at 100% locked 30fps at quality mode.

 

Performance mode is 1600-2160p with 4xMSAA at 60fps.
