I like when people don't pair software and hardware correctly and are surprised when it runs bad. Like as if it's some sort shock to see low end hardware not be able to do higher end tasks.

basically the same as every ltt video about older hardware , "lets run the wrong software and pretend the hardware was bad"

Sometimes old hardware can run very optimized newer software and that's always fun to watch , but it seems like they just flat out don't have any retro pc enthusiasts at their company at all.

Just regular pc enthusiasts doing crash courses on old hardware as fast as possible before a video gets shot. enough to read and repeat the wikipedia page , but not enough to know what the hardware can actually do.

I think you missed the entire point. And this is a very low end and old card. No amount of software is fixing that

Same, I don’t understand the appeal of intentionally running demanding games on old or low end hardware. Like you know how its going to perform, bad.

Show me a 13 year old low end gpu playing things it’s presumably capable of, how well does it do in comparison to its respective alternative options.

God, I can’t believe my s3 chrome 5400ew can’t play gta v, what absolute nonsense, why would they even make a product like that?

Or the idea of just seeing what awful frame rate you can get with a GT710 or something. I know the gt 710 sucks at playing modern games, I could tell from the name alone. But show me where the gt 710 shines, or at least show me what it does well. Maybe I’m an aspiring consumer watching a 30fps 360p YouTube video on core2duo era integrated graphics and want to know if adding a gt 710 will let me play the sims 2? If I were that person I’d like to see what a toaster gpu can do.

I feel bad for that person haha this is literally just a display card and that’s about it. I’m not even sure it would play sims very well

They missed the point because they are fixated on if it's a year out of date, it worthless outdated hardware that practically won't even boot.

It's so obvious the OP repaired an obviously very old GPU and benchmarked just for kicks.

But then his post flys right over the heads of the "if it's not the latest and greatest" crowd who then begin to belittle the OP.

For some reason they can't comprehend that some of us like to play around with older hardware as a challenge to find it's limitations. They are just comfortable with push the button and it runs.
