Upgrading Current system

Hello y'all, I need to hear other peoples opinion. I mostly play video games and have an interest in learning UE5 and modding maps (on Ark Ascended).

Im currently running a Ryzen 3600 and will be upgrading on Black Friday. A 5900x is 10 bucks cheaper than 5800x3D. I know about 3D v cache is good for gaming and all but having more cores is also nice as well. Can y'all give me y'alls opinion on which CPU you would choose and why? Thank you!

If you spend more time gaming get the x3d, if you spend more time doing productivity tasks get the 5900. You likely won’t have a bad experience with either though.
