So for web browsing i'd say you get an used office PC with Gigabit ethernet, if you want to you can also throw in a GPU and/or new CPU, since you will probably stay well under budget this way. and in case you dont already have it: you'd need gigabit ethernet to get the most out of it.

For the monitor, i've been using an LG MU67 Series 27" Monitor for years now, it is 4K 60Hz and hqs 99% sRGB Coverage, and FreeSync

Not my monitor, but probaply  still better anyways

Honestly... you don't need to spend that much

500GB M.2 SSD for the o/s (Windows) and a 4TB SATA SSD for storage. The 120mm fan goes inside the back of that case for a rear exhaust fan. Use the onboard integrated graphics that comes with that cpu. I'll let someone else recommend the monitor.

Why on earth spend so much on such a system? Even with a 4k screen you should be able to get it way below 1k euros.

Here's a more than adequate suggestion:

Lower end A320/B450/B550 motherboard 80 eur

Ryzen 3 3200G CPU/iGPU 90 eur

2x8 GB DDR4 RAM 40 eur

NVME SSD 250 GB 30 eur

4 TB HDD 90 eur

Corsair CX 400-500 W PSU 50 eur

Decent case 40-50 eur

Set of fans 30-40 eur

Then you can add the display to that and still land at not much more than 500 eur.

You could even go with an older prebuilt as a base and save 200 eur on that compared to my suggestion. I got a nice fairly compact HP system for a client with an i5 6500 a 250 GB SSD and 8 GB of DDR4 for about 100 eur. That would more than suffice for his intended uses and do so for many years to come.

Not really. It won't be very fast and that's what he want.

Basically wants it to be very fast with no problems will be used for downloading stuff/browsing stuff.

A faster CPU is going to process DOM / CSS /JS / WebAssembly faster and thus load pages faster.

It can help to go for a 12600KF and RAM @ 7200 MHz.

Furthermore, it may also help to know that Clear Linux is one of the fastest systems for Firefox and outperforms windows (in Firefox performance).

These are browser benchmarks that lean largely on GPU performance.

A RX 7900 XT is overkill but a RX 6600 can certainly help load some web pages faster than an iGPU.

OS: FreeBSD 13.3  WM: bspwm  Hardware: Intel 12600KF -- Kingston dual-channel CL36 @6200 -- Sapphire RX 7600 -- BIOSTAR B760MZ-E PRO -- Antec P6 -- Xilence XP550 -- ARCTIC i35 -- EVO 850 500GB
