xmp no worky ):

heyo, 

 

so here are my parts,

 

- 7800x3d

- Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) CMK32GX5M2E6000C36 Vengeance CL36 6000MHz DDR5 RAM

- 3070

- gigabyte B650M DS3H mATX 

 

so when i enable xmp my pc just wont boot until i disable it, are there known problems with corsair vengence on ryzen? I have no idea hopw to manually tune my memory instead of using xmp. What should i do? Do i just not bother and leave it running at 4800?

yeah corsair is the worst. 

if it runs at default speeds I'd leave it at that,  you aren't losing that much performance at all on average.

lol, as long as its only like a 2-3 fps difference i dont care, what makes corsair so bad?

They had compatibility issues on DDR4, though that's been fixed with DDR5.

 

I'd make sure your on the latest BIOS revision as up until the latest revisions XMP has been hit or miss on AM5. You want to do that anyway for the health of the CPU.

thanks i checked my bios and it was like super super old. I got the latest one and now my xmp profile is working fine and im running at 6000 thanks a bunch!
