Macbook Pro 16” doesn’t boot up and stays on low battery screen (even after reset)

Hi all,

 

I’ve done a reset on the laptop since it wasn’t booting up. After that I got the low battery screen, but with the laptop plugged in for over 4 hours I still get the low batterij screen and it doesn’t boot up.

I’m using the poweradapter that came with the laptop. I’m thinking in the direction of a broken battery, but maybe someone else has an idea?

 

The reset I did: Press and hold Shift, Control, and Option on the left side of the keyboard. At the same time, press the power button. Hold for 10 seconds. Release the keys and then turn on your Mac

Sounds like the battery might be dead. Best take it to an Apple repair store.
