Buy 4090 or wait?

I am building a new rig. My current one is about 6 years old and it's time for an upgrade. I was all set on the 4090 but within the past week I read that there might be 4090TI coming out in Jan 24 and 5000 not long after. So I am not sure if I should wait until at least in Jan for potential 4090TI and buy a cheaper card to get me by until then or just go for a 4090 knowing that I will not be able to upgrade for next 3 to 4 years. I miss the old EVGA step up program which gave an option to upgrade for at least the following year if something new came out.

If you are going to buy a card then buy again when 4090ti releases, might as well get the 4090 and be done with it. Upgrade cycle of 4 years for a 4090 is nothing.

There is absolutely zero indication of any of this being remotely accurate. I don’t know where you’re getting your leaks but they are massively off base.

Buy it now or wait for RTX 5000. I'm predicting that the prices are going too suck.
