Looking for a 32" 1440p Curved IPS monitor

Gessler555

Refresh rate above 100hz is preferable.

Right now I'm looking at two models:

LG Ultragear 32GP850-B

MSI Optix MAG321QR

Between these two, which do ya'll recommend? I'm also open to suggestions for other models.

Intel i7-4790k | MSI GTX 1080Ti Gaming | MSI Z97 Gaming 7 | Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) 1866mhz RAM | Corsair H80i v1 AIO | Corsair RM850x PSU | Cooler Master HAF 912 case | Asus VZ27AQ 1440p 75hz monitor | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD | Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm HDD

Neither of them is curved. Curved IPS monitors are rare.

Both of those flat IPS are great though.

VA is getting pretty good nowadays - at lower contrasts, even low-end VA panels don't have much smearing. Plenty of them are curved, too - but really, the entire monitor purchasing process is a mess - it's almost impossible to tell how a certain monitor might perform

You're right - my mistake. I should've added that these are the ones I'm looking at in the event of there being no good curved panels in this category.

My only complaint is the black-smearing. And that was a deal breaker for me, swapped to IPS.

The higher end Samsung VA  panels should be much better at it, I've read.

Based on my recent research, I think the best gaming 32" 1440p gaming monitor might currently be the Samsung Odyssey G7 (which already has a very-premium price), or the G8 if someone is able to spend an obscene amount on a monitor. I think I saw the G7 refurbished for a more reasonable price at that time, of around $500 CAD. I was looking into it and weighing it against an Asus PG329Q, and went with the Asus because I wanted a flat-screen monitor.
