[US] $400 RX 6800 16GB - MSI Gaming Z Trio on Newegg

YoungBlade

Newegg is selling an MSI Gaming Z Trio RX 6800 16GB graphics card for $400. This also includes a code for Starfield Premium Edition.

https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-6800-rx-6800-gaming-z-trio-v1/p/N82E16814137803

The RX 6800 has performance slightly above the RX 7700XT and slightly below the RTX 4070 for rasterized gaming, but with 16GB of VRAM instead of 12GB. In raytracing, it's more comparable to the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB.

This puts the card in direct competition with the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB and is $50 cheaper than both the 7700XT and 4060 Ti 16GB while giving better performance on average than both.

But why buy that when you can save $30 and buy this work of art.

Not gonna lie, I really like the look of that. Asus has their problems, but they can make a darn good looking graphics card when they want to. I still think their Strix cards were the best looking out of the 10 series AIB designs.

If that card were half the price, I would consider getting it for the looks alone. $370 for a 4060 is just beyond the pale in terms of garbage value, even if the card looks amazing.

lol, $370 for 4060 is a robbery

RTX 4060 owners are (probably) consenting adults fully aware of how bad their purchase is.

Lol, $370 for 4060-level performance is trash.

You can still buy a new RTX 3060 Ti card off Newegg for $330-$350 dollars.  Those perform better in everything except raytracing.

Don't even get me started on the AMD options...

I'm tempted to buy it just because it's MSI TBH.
