A Guide to More than 2 Monitors on Apple Silicon Macs without Max chips

If you want to get more monitors out of your Mac, you’ll need a link that supports display link. 
 

Here is one I found that worked well for my 16" M2 + 3 external displays:

You'll need to install the display link driver on your Mac: https://displaylink.com 

 

Then you'll need to set it to auto-start on login, and under the settings of the tool enable a few checkboxes that allow it to show on the screen saver. 
 

The above has worked pretty well for me, the only issue is that sometimes the driver crashes and needs manual restart after plugging and unplugging my Mac a few times.
