Looking for a premium thermal paste, regardless of price, ive used SYY157 for the past few cpus and am looking at MX6 as a replacement

 

Im wondering if there are any much higher performance (relative) , enthusiast grade non-conductive thermal pastes that anyone can recommend?

System specs:

 

 

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D [-30 PBO all core]

GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX NITRO+

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 32GB 6000MHz CL32 DDR5

Storage: 2TB SN850X, 1TB SN850 w/ heatsink, 500GB P5 Plus (OS Storage)

Case: 5000D AIRFLOW

Cooler: Thermalright Frost Commander 140

PSU: Corsair RM850e

Case Fans: Fractal Prisma (120 x6, 140 x3) + 2x40mm fans

Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is arguably the best paste, but they're all so close as to be margin of error.

Kryonaut is meant to be for extreme use and won't last as long. I would get NT-H2/H1 over this any day. I got a 10g NT-H1 recently for just a little bit more than Kryonaut recently.

I havent tried it myself yet so i cant say either way. Ive used many and recently was using TFX on my cpu and TF8 on my gpu and both have worked very well giving me consistent lowered temps. For pads i use Fujipoly for the most part.

If you take that into account, then sure.  He's asking for best though, similar to his other thread, so I answered without regard to longevity, ease of acquiring, price, etc.

Honeywell has a great one. Both pad and paste. 

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

I still like the look of the MX6 and NT-H2 but the honeywell does also look interesting, if you had to choose between the MX6 and the NT-H2 which would be preferable, and would you choose the honeywell paste over this preferred paste?

 

I think im leaning toward the MX6 personally as i dont mind the extra stickiness/thickness when spreading and from a few sources ive seen marginal temp decreases, albeit less than 1 degree but still consistent across multiple tests

You'll need to use their names if you want a response. Most people don't auto-follow like me. 

 

All 3 are great choices.

I gained a couple degrees over an application of mx4. It’s also nice to know I’ll never need to reapply.

With what? You'd get that with several TIMs over MX4...

i hear toothpaste does really well. LOL

 

but being serious. thermal grizzly is what i have been told is one of the better ones.havent really tested any myself as i have not removed my thermal paste from 5 years ago and my CPU temps are around 30-40 at the most.

Use less SYY and it will work better.
