I was browsing the WI-FI alliance website, saw that they keep a public database of WI-FI certified things.

Thought, they have a category for "Buildings", WTF is that.

Only 1 result.

 

It's called CAPXS, is Multi-Family and runs Linux Kernel 5.4.3

Chamberlain Group is a company that makes garage doors and such, including "smart" garage door opener systems. I wonder if they had some facility of theirs "certified" this way as some sort of marketing stunt. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

If you Google for “chamberlain capxs”, the certified product in your screenshot it takes you to this: https://www.liftmaster.com/smart-video-intercom-s/p/CAPXS

 

the building category is not for buildings but devices that are meant to be installed into buildings, as part of the building itself. In this specific case it’s an ecosystem of video doorbells.
