AMD driver settings reset every after reboot

Illyaimi

Every time I restart or turn my pc off it acts as if it just crashed. "Default performance tuning settings have been restored due to an unexpected system failure"

I don't have fast startup enabled. I just did a clean windows install, and I replugged my GPU. It was happening previously as well, not sure for how long though, but months at least.

Why does it do that? At first I thought it was undervolting but it happens even if I just turn off zero-rpm mode.

Is your CMOS battery dead?

Can you be explicit about where you are getting this error and what program is providing it?

Also, providing your hardware details wouldn't hurt. Is this the same PC in your signature?

How do I know if its dead? I haven't found any other issues currently other than this. I also just updated my bios yesterday but it didn't fix it.

Take it out and put a new one in, see if that fixes it

This is a software issue, not a BIOS one. CMOS has nothing to do with this.

OP, recommend fully uninstalling software/drivers removing and left over settings/profiles/config files and reinstalling.
