I'm not really into the internet lynch mob mentality.

I've been a long time LTT and WAN show viewer because linus and luke seem like good people. Not perfect, but good.

I'm not religious, but I've always liked this one:

There was only ever one perfect person, and we killed him. (Legally, too)

The idea of "Death of the author" can mean different things but maybe there is value in knowing about the author so that a work can be put into context. Probably more important in literature than in a video about some new toy, but nevertheless, knowing not only who the creator is, buy why the creator is, should not be dismissed as irrelevant. Knowing a creator's motivation, especially creators operating under the label as 'influencer', might be worth considering.

I unsubscribed years ago, i first started watching when Linus was still doing videos back on the old old channel before he branched out on his own, i liked the informative videos and reviews about stuff i was into.  Not sure when it happened exactly, but the channel seemed to morph into a tech themed comedy thing rather than something i'd go to for tech guidance.
