what could be causing such a difference in R20 scores? 3900x

Zohan2000

planning on upgrading from a 3900x to the 5800x3D cpu and 32GB of ram so thought id do some benchmarks to get a sense of how much improvement im getting but these scores seem a bit varied from each run, got no idea what could be causing this, at first i thought it was process lasso, turned it off and restarted the computer and was still getting the same weird scores, moved r20 to the desktop(NVME) instead of being ran from a HDD and still the same thing is happening, any ideas?

gonna run the cpu test on 3dmark next to see if the same thing is happening there as well

Note that some of your screenshots show the score for the CPU and some show the single threaded score (in the ranking). The difference isn't really all that big otherwise.

The biggest multi-threaded difference (6712 / 6529) is a difference of only 2.8%. That could be caused by any number of background processes running at that time and is essentially margin of error for such a benchmark.
