Hey guys,

I currently have 4GB of Kingston Hyper-X DDR3-1600 (4x1GB) but it has got to the point where I need more and I've seen two that I am thinking about.

Kingston Hyper-X Fury DDR3-1866 and Kingston Hyper-X Beast DDR3-2133 both at 8GB (2x4GB), my question is will I see a noticeable improvement with 2133 or should I stick with 1866 (I love Kingston btw).

Fury £59 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-hx318c10fbk28

Beast £65 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-khx21c11t3k28x

I'm thinking of the Beast but what are your opinions

For 99% of things, no, but SOME games do take advantage of faster ram such as Battlefield 4, if your budget is tight, its not worth it, if you have the cash to splash then get the faster ram

I want to get BF4 at some point and since there is only £6 between the two I have been leaning towards the Beast

the Speed of it isn't important, we talking 0.5%, so 1600MHz 2x4GB Sticks would be enough

For £6 just do it, you are hardly going to have to live on the streets for £6 :P if it only benefits 1 game then its still worth it imo

well, if spending that extra cash wont mean cutting down on something else and you can do it, than Go with the 2x4GB 2133MHz

Apps, yes and as you said 10% in bcs, but for Games 8GB 1600MHz is more than enough and having faster Ram wont make an improvement that's worth it, but, i always say this in terms of every thing, it doesn't heart having more than needed as long as it's within league, and wont mean cutting down on some other parts of the Build

Yeah as i say 99% it wont matter, but for the sake of a few £ Its worth it, even if it is just for future proofing

My ram runs 1866mhz stock and it can also be clocked to 2133mhz  with some extra voltage persuasion. To be honest, dude. I see zero benefit when my ram is overclocked higher outside of a ramdisk being a bit faster. Real world, it's prob a 1fps difference if that. running them back at 1866mhz because lower voltage and no real benefit having the kit overclocked.

Whichever kit is cheapest, go for that. ;)

PS: based on looks alone, I'd get the Fury. Those are the best looking dimms on the market imo.
