I cut the psu cable to my prebuilt’s RBG fan extender

Yeah pretty goofy how iBuyPower put 4 RGB fans in, got an RGB hub that needed 5v and ground from the psu, and soldered an extension cable to it. 
 

And I’m just now realizing that I could have just unplugged the extension cord from the old psu.

Whoops!

(and yes the fans all still work without it)

If you are competent enough to solder wires inside your pc what on earth are you doing buying a prebuilt from ibuypower?

Keyboard : HyperX Alloy Core RGB

Mouse : Corsair M65 Elite RGB

Headset : Corsair HS35 Gaming Headset
