Buying a new battery for vive controllers.

RomantheFabulous

An HTC battery is 3.85VDC 960mAh, 3.69Wh. I've got the option to buy either a £15 battery which is 950mAh, 3.66Wh which arrives next week or spend an extra £5 plus water shipping is for a genuine HTC one that arrives between 1 and 2 months from now. Since its cheaper and arrives sooner, would it do much harm to buy the 3rd party one if the brand (Camron Sino) is reputable?

you're talking a 1% difference in capacity, at some point this is just a rounding error on the part of the manufacturer.

having that said.. if the rated voltage is actually 3.85 volts, make sure that matches, because that's some specific lithium wizardry right there.
