New Mobo only lets me use 3 dim slots. Z690 Gygabyte Aorus Elite.

Just got the Mobo up & going today, (was extremely happy to get into BIOS as the last 2 days it wouldn't let me Q-Flash so

the pc shop put it the latest Bios in for me) v(F25).

When i put the Ram in i did 1 at a time that works up to the last module. Out of the 4 dim slots on this new Mobo only 3 slots can use my ram the left slot no the other 3 yes. Also shows 2400mhz instead of 3200mhz

dims installed like so. 0|1|1|1

The memory was working in the Z270 mobo. Asus Prime Z270 AR.

When it comes to Z690 Bios & the know hows i don't just yet ill learn it i just upgraded from Z270. So yeah a long time.

My specs:

PSU: Corsair RM 1000 all those years ago.

                               Mobo: Z690-Gigabyte Aorus Elite DDR4

                               Cpu: 13600k

Gpu: 970 g1 gigabyte. Bios hacked.

                               RAM: 2x Team T-Force Vulcan Z 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 Grey

                               Win 10-home-64bit.

Cooling: Custom Loop all EK parts 4 rad system:

                                                                           120: back of case.

                                                                           240: top of case.

                                                                           360: bottom of case.

                                                                           480: front of case

                                                                           EK Vader fans.

I would like to get all 4 ram modules in the Mobo all 4 was bought at the same time & work.

Im sure it's most likely something to do with a Bios setting. (hopefully)

24pin-8pin-4pin. All plugged in. Tested a game just then seems fine. Thank you.

Could be anything really, could be the memory controller. Could de a damaged or missing socket pin, could be a damaged LGA pad, could be a damaged trace to the first DIMM slot.

Try reseating your CPU and check for any sort of damge on the bottom of the CPU or in the socket.

What about the CPU? Do none of your ram sticks work in the 1st DIMM slot?

I was thinking this as well. Also take a stick out move it to that slot so on.

CPU socket is new looks fine. no bent pins as i looked then gently placed it in, then the Velocity 2 water block is in. Did a Cinebench test got 19k on it. Massive improvement from the 7600k. ill sus this out more in the morning getting late now. Tho thanks for the ideas Alinz, champ.

Ive got Vengence 2133mhz ram that works ill test that out as well also. New ram is 3200mhz tho is says 2400, that's all odd to me.

ok so an update.

i removed the 3rd ram stick out & put in the other 1 in the 1st slot 1|1|0|1 like that

it seems to not like having 4 sticks in but 3 sticks of ram in the mobo works hu? haha still reports 2400mhz.

im wondering if it's voltage i don't know. my ram says 1.35v

I just checked BIOS it says this:

DRAM Voltage Control

VDDQ Auto 1.200V

DRAM Voltage (CH A/B) Auto 1.200V

This could be it im guessing Should i slowly up the voltage of DRAM Voltage till i get to 1.35V

Im guessing it says 2400mhz & only 3 sticks works due to lower voltage. But a good thing is all 4 sticks of ram do work on the mobo tho only 3 sticks at a time.
