Can I put my old GPU in my new PC?

wintlvr

this is the part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7s4mPF

all the parts are ordered except the GPU, I was wondering if I would be able to put my 1650 GPU from my current computer into this new one until I am able to afford the GPU... Would they be compatible? If not....Could I use the PC without the GPU? Does the CPU come with intergraded graphics? I have some friends saying that it does, and others saying it doesnt...

Yes, almost all Zen 4 CPUs have a (very weak) iGPU. The 7700x does have one, review: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-7700x/22.html

Using the old GPU should be no issue. It'll work in any system that has a PCIe slot, i.e. everything released in the past decade(?) or more. Using a system without any type of GPU is generally not possible, outside of some specific headless Linux installs.

You can use the old GPU, shouldn't have any issues (assuming the old card isn't faulty). Or you can use the integrated GPU, the 7700X has a one.

All the way back to 2003. So anything from a GeForce PCX (pcie FX) to a current RTX 4090, all are backwards and forwards compatible. You could put an RTX 4090 on a 925x motherboard from 2004 or put a Radeon x800 from 2004 on a brand new motherboard and they’d work.

Probably not, but it would work with built in display drivers in either context.

The devices themselves would function, function well is a different story.
