Are you sure that the 5600X3D fits the PRIME B450 ?

100%.  it's an AM4 chip, the Prime 450 is an AM4 motherboard.

My current build on the AM4 platform, I havent finished my exploration here yet....

This is my build I am thinking of adding the 5600X3D replacing my current Ryzen 5 5500, what do you think ?

I am a beginner player aka I play using X-box gamepass games just to get to know platforms and slowly upgrade.

The GPU I will get from my daughters build after I have found a EVGA 3080 Ti 12GB for her.

5600x3D is US only. Where are you going to source that from in SE?? o.o

Otherwise its a decent jump since 5500 tends to be the bottom bin of the 5000 series, but for longevity sake id say go 5800x3D since i dont see a way you can buy a 5600x3D outside the US

I was planning to have a working pal in US buy it and send it since its 'just' $229. This would make me skip the final step I originally planned which was ofcourse the 5800X3D

What is it's price? PC part picker says it's not in stock in the country you've chosen. I'd recommend a 5600 for the extra cache, especially if you intend to get a 3080ti later. You can also get an rx 6700 for about the same price as the rtx 3060 which is slightly slower in raytracing but faster in pure rasterization.

I am planning to have it sent from the US. The Zotac 3060 12GB I already own in my daughters machine so I will get that and hand her a EVGA 3080 Ti.

i dont think it would fit, as i suppose the 5600x3d is zen 4 and uses the am5 platform, compared to the 5500, which is zen 3 and uses the am4 platform.

Nope, it's Zen 3 on AM4 plateform.
It's basicly a "faulty" 5800X3D with 2 cores disabled. That's it.

Change of plan since the 56003XD wont fit (PCI 4.0) on my cheap MBU Asus PRIME B450-PLUS aka will shoot for the 58003XD as originally planned

Yes, it will fit.   5600X3D runs fine on B450, while not needing hefty power so it's kind of perfect for maxxing out a B450 if that's a concern.  PCIe 4.0 doesn't impact what CPU works on what board.

Note that the 5xxx series of chips is AM4,  Just because it's new doesn't mean it's AM5.  Follow the naming convention.

pcie4 literally doesn't matter,  the differences are tiny, its just marketing as usual basically.  newer = better, surely?

also i would only get the 5600x3d if money is a concern otherwise i don't see why a 5800x3D wouldn't be better,  you'll also have less issues with warranty etc
