I currently have 4 HDDs and 1 SSD in my computer .

When I copy a large file from the SSD to 3 HDDs simultaneously.

All 3 HDDs should be running 100% and the SSD should be at around 30%. But they jump all other the place.

When I stop 2 of the 3 transfers the remaining one increases to the normal 100%.

Any explanation ?

(I checked each HDD with CrystalDiskMark, each is above 200MB/s. The SSD is around 2000MB/s and temperature stays below 50°.)

(I believe this worked fine in my previous system)

Probably some SATA bottleneck. Post your MB and where the HDD are plucked in.

Is the SSD PCIe or SATA? RTFM.

All in my Profile (HDD capacity still costs around a third of SSD)

That SSD, intel 660p isn't the fastest of all disks. And when you read files to three different disks separately, at least to me it would be more logical if it's acts more like random read rather than sustained read. Or something in between.

And there will also probably be a little extra overhead when software wise when you transfer to multiple drives too, but don't quote me on that.

Tho I haven't checked spesific numbers right now for that SSD, but it's something to think about.
