OK, I have redone the list, I was able to get a Ryzen 7 and swap out the GPU to a 6800 w/ 16GB of VRAM and I changed the Power Supply because others had an issue with it and it's still under budget.

It looks ok.

What you could improve upon...

Corsair HX750 fully modular platinum is 100 pounds with free shipping at box : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/LkM323/corsair-hx-platinum-750w-80-platinum-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020137-na

Forget about RGB on the RAM and you can get more performance for cheaper or same price.

Yours is 5200 Mhz, CL40

For example 98.5 pounds for Corsair 2x16 5600 CL36 : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/4kmmP6/corsair-vengeance-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr5-5600-cl36-memory-cmk32gx5m2b5600c36

Gskill Flare X5 is 102.5 pounds, 6000 mhz CL36 : https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/pwxRsY/gskill-flare-x5-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr5-6000-cl36-memory-f5-6000j3636f16gx2-fx5

But it may or may not be "optimized" more for Intel systems, look for some reviews...

Hi, I was able to make some small changes to your build and get some more Speed and performance out of the build. Plus I was able to get it under your budget.

I switched the CPU Cooler to a Black one w/ RGB. I got you a Motherboard with better VRMs. I got you the correct RAM Speeds (6000mhz CL32) w/ RGB. I got you a faster Gen4 M.2 with faster Read/Write Speeds. A PC Case that has 3 included RGB Fans and a 850w PSU in case you ever decide to upgrade the CPU or GPU. If I were you I would see if you can return the 3070Ti and get a AMD RX 6750XT for a bit less and it will have 12GB of VRAM and it's much faster than the 3070Ti. I will include the link here:

Gigabyte AORUS ELITE Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB

Gigabyte's exploding PSU? I know they "fixed" them... Still not sure I would go that route. I would definitely choose the Seasonic that was already there over that Gigabyte, or the Corsair recommended above (Personally Seasonic is usually my preference, but don't choose based on brand.).

The Samsung SSD would be my pick over the TeamGroup.

Building PC shouldn't be a race to the bottom. It should be picking reliable parts, not always the cheapest.

I don't want to get into an argument but I did not base my build list on price as much as I did for performance.

1. The Gigabyte PSU is "FINE" and SeaSonic is no longer one of the better options for a PSU, hasn't been for a few years now. I'm not saying that Gigabyte is better just that there are other options.

2. The Samsung M.2 was a Gen 3 and had less Read/Write Speed than the TeamGroup I picked and it was cheaper too.

3. I DID pick reliable parts. I have been in this business a long time, I know what I'm doing. If I didn't I would not have been successful for so long. Try running a Custom Build Shop from a Hospital bed and talk to me about how hard it can be and still get the job done.

I was looking at sub $500 in price to fit the budget. I would have seen it otherwise but thanks.

The Motherboard here (Gigabyte Gaming X AX has WiFi. And like I said it has better VRMs and VRM Heat Shields. It is a big help especially when gaming. The MSI Model you had lacked the features and support that this one does. Here is a pic of the Rear I/O

So small thing but if you can return the 3070ti and get a rx6800xt.

The 3070ti already runs out of vram in current games at not even the highest settings ans it cripples performance to where a 12gb rtx 3060 is faster. This is at 1080p highet resolutions are even worse.

A 6800xt is a bit faster and has double the memory and also normally costs less.

I would not go for a pgm hell no

Proper way to cut costs on psu would be a used psu, many 750-850w golds around 50$ used

samsung is overpriced crap most of the time till they start going on discounts, i mean youve gotta be pretty delusional to pick a slow ass 970 evo over a top end gen4 like the s70 blade, sn850x, etc. If theyre at the same price, but i wouldnt really go for the teamgroup either, dramless and barely any faster than a high end gen3 not like youll even notice the speed in the first place, a cheap dram gen3 like the silicon power a80, mushkin tempest, msi m371, exceria (g2), etc. Would be a better pick and also cut down on price

As for parts choices i am a 100% cut all uneccesary spending whenever possible and there still seems to be a few cost cuts that can be made (not overspending on a mobo or an overpriced psu cause some arbitrary tier said so)

I do have to say you did a pretty decent job of cost cutting but theres definitely improvements that can be done to maximize spec and bang for buck

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/LnR9xs

7700 + 6900xt + 32gb 6000c32

3070ti is awful so id reccomend returning and swapping for a 6900xt, if you are lucky you might even get a good deal on a 3080ti or 3090 if you look around on your local used market or ebay. If you are stuck with nvidia and you cant go used (or too scared to go used) then the 4070 is a somewhat compelling option with its power efficiency

7700 cause if you are gonna spend 50£ on a cooler for a 7600x you might aswell go for a 7700 and get 2 more cores for an extra 50£, the stock cooler is more than capable of handling overclocking since its a wraith prism instead of a shitty wraith stealth so you can try aiming for a 1.1-1.2v overclock

Bunch of cost cuts on everything else

Ye it is. Also as others have mentioned, if you can return your 3070 ti and get a 6800 xt instead I would do it

Aside from that:

The Motherboard here (Gigabyte Gaming X AX has WiFi. And like I said it has better VRMs and VRM Heat Shields. It is a big help especially when gaming. The MSI Model you had lacked the features and support that this one does. Here is a pic of the Rear I/O

Yes it is really worth it. The 3070Ti will struggle in newer games and they might even be unplayable.

See my revised list above w/ the 7700x & RX 6800

Tbh it depends what games you play and at what res. For 1080p its fine and acceptable for the newer games and below but for 1440p and up I would get a 6800 xt. But if its £310 from a friend then why is that £570 one in the pcpp list?

Its a good deal but you'll have to put textures on medium from now on if not lower.
