new build / 1st build recommendation for developer

Budget (including currency): 300-600$

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Web browsing
work : visual studio code IDE, nodejs, python
gaming: nvidia geforce now, microsoft xbox cloud
ratio: 95% for work/web browsing, 5% for gaming from the cloud

Other details : I already have a 32inch monitor, I would like to fit everything into a case with the smallest fingerprint without scarifying "too much" the thermo. I like the style of the fractal terra but I still find it too big.

I am hesitating to go with one of the prebuilt beelink / minisforum

I've put a baseline, but I think it's way overkill for my usage: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PfbMJM

Thanks !

How about this list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ygjd4s

A ryzen 5 7600 should be enough for your workload and it is a new platform so you’ll get longer support. It also now has a 2tb ssd that’s quite fast. I saw that you had a flex power supply which is weird because unless you have a server case, you can’t use a flex standard so I’d suggest going with an ATX power supply. The case is up to you so I left it out.

That case retails for over $185US. Spending that much of your budget doesn't make sense.

If that is the size you want, a DIY build will not do better.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

A 13600k would be better for your use case since it has more cores, cheaper cooler you don't need a $85 cooler. Also a cheaper motherboard.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).
I'm learning video editing and trying to get some cash as a high school student.
I like F1, my favourite team is Scuderia Ferrari and favourite driver is Charles Leclerc. Favourite track is Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Playing with a 1080p 60hz monitor right now, hoping to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz one soon.

Living in AU and that pisses me off since every event is late at night or early in the morning (almost every F1 race starts around 11 PM AEST time)
