Samba + ZFS Pool

Ok, I'm stuck.

 

I have a proxmox box (7.3-3), and on proxmox I have a ZFS pool (mirrored) setup. I also have a samba container ready to go.

What I cannot figure out...

 

I want to be able to:

Backup (using rsync or something) from Windows 10 machines to proxmox box -> ZFS Pool.

Can you mount the samba share in windows? You should be able to use it using the map a network drive thing.

 

Then I'd use software like veeam to manage backups to the proxmox system.
