I'm looking for used VR headset for PC VR gaming. My budget is 1500PLN (~$350) and with that money I can get: HTC Vive Cosmos (or the OG Vive if it's better for whatever reason), Meta Quest 2, Oculus Rift S or, with a bit of luck, HP Reverb G2. Which one should I get?

Rift S is a dead platform. Get the Reverb G2 or Meta Quest 2 depending on how you feel about Meta having your data or being stuck in their ecosystem.

Quest 2's probably the best choice, and being able to use it standalone/wirelessly is really nice.

You may need to look up what games you want to play before you ask for VR recommendations.

I'm a happy owner of the Meta Quest 2 (before the price jump). Easiest way to jump into VR since it's completely untethered and you don't need external camera units.

I think people are overblowing the "do you really want Facebook to have your data" issue. Just make a burner account, jeez.

I'm one of those people who have an FB account and haven't posted anything in several years. I have no issues with FB owning my deprecated data.

If you happen to own a 20-series graphics card, you can use a USB-C cable to give the headset extra power.

I only use mine for Beat Saber so I've never used that feature.

Okay, so to clarify about games - definitely want to try Subnautica VR, maybe War Thunder or MSFS, possibly HL:Alyx and/or other VR-only games. I think Quest is primarily a standalone device and PC connection is only a secondary function, how does it work with PC gaming?

Quest being Facebook/Meta product is a disadvantage for me, but if it's the best I can get for my money then fine, after all IDGAF whether Zuckerberg knows how good I am at flying virtual planes.

Also, I have 4070Ti, so no USB-C on the GPU.

EDIT: I've checked the prices, i can actually get Quest 2 NEW within the budget, while all of the other headsets would have to be used.
