Epoc Cam going all fuzzy?

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right section of the forums, but I need some help.

I've been using Elgato's Epoc Cam Pro app to use my phone as a webcam for twitch streaming, but it's having some issues. For some reason, seemingly at random, the video feed goes fuzzy if not cuts out entirely. I'm using wired mode, and have tried multiple different cords and USB ports on my PC. It seems to be on the software end, as the feed looks fine on my phone but terrible on the Epoc app and in OBS when it starts to bug out. When it's not bugging out, which is maybe 25% of the time, it looks great.

I tried reaching out to Elgato support but they were useless. I've tried reinstalling the app, both on my phone and on my pc multiple times, to no improvement. As mentioned, I've also tried various cords and various USB ports. My phone is an iPhone 13.

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Kind of a shot in the dark but if the app supports a wireless mode over wifi or something then it may be worth a shot. It will be less reliable and have higher latency than a wire but the improved bandwidth may help. Unfortunately apple's refusal to move on from the lightning port hurts performance in some situations and this feels like one of them.
