Will it cause any damage?

I just changed my desk setup, and I chose to put my diffuser next to my monitor, but I wondered if it would cause any damage. Ofc it uses essential oils, but I hope it doesn’t damage the electronics

oils do stick to stuff, so after enough time it will goop up your gear.

i wouldnt blow steam at any electronics. the oils can condense inside the monitor and can cause corrosion and/or a short over time (maybe not even that much time)

it'll get gross as fuck, which isnt a good thing for electronics that depend on passive heat dissipation.. but i dont think it'll immediately "damage" the hardware.

^^^ Agree, see the consequences of folks smoking or vaping next to their PC. Dust filters will catch a lot of dust, not much else, and computers do not like being gummed up with crud.

I can show you guys an image of my setup, can you guys maybe give an advice where to put it? That white ball is the diffuser. Also, in my room, there’s only one outlet, so I can only move it around on my desk

This is why extension cords exist. Almost all my outlets have extension cords bringing electricity where I need it. Put it somewhere farther away, like 2-3m away.

essential oils act like smoke from cigrettes just go into fans and just gloop up. Not good and I wouldnt do it.
