Upgrade Ryzen 9 3900x, motherboard and or new case?

Budget (including currency): USD $1000-$1500

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games, Adobe, Unreal 5

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current  PC https://pcpartpicker.com/user/HybridRain/saved/shv74D

Debating if I should buy a new motherboard and processor. Maybe later upgrade everything to avoid bottlenecks. If you had the chance, what would you prefer to do? This processor has been solid and got no complaints, but I might have to sell my PC due to moving soon.

I want your opinions! Thanks!

your case, cpu cooler, psu, ssd and gpu are good for now

you could get something like the lian li o11d evo to really show them off tho

For a semi upgrade I would get this (upgrade to AM5): you could also upgrade the psu but I think its unnecessary and the gpu is still really good

I only added the fans to get in budget as well as them being exceptional fans

Don't really see a need for an upgrade to be honest.

The only changes i would currently do:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($309.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: PowerColor Red Devil Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB Video Card  ($1019.99 @ Newegg)

No point of changing the mobo, unless going full platform change to AM5 and tbh, i would wait for the 2nd gen AM5 X3D CPUs to come out.

Oh and the case.. This looks like an old HAF case... would really love to change it with

be quiet! Silent Base 802 ATX Mid Tower Case

But it is functional! The airflow is decent the size is actually normal today pc case size (4000d alike) and looks well that depends on the person.

Update your boards bios, throw in a 5900X and call it good.

It's way bigger than a 4000 for sure, the guy has 3080Ti in and still 20cm clearance 😛

My bad meant 5000d. Internally they are basically the same size. Externally the 760t is bigger so to say due to the plastic bits.

So the reason I might sell is that I would use that money to just buy either the same parts again and rebuild the PC overseas, or take the $100 transportation fee of the airline and risk have the PC damaged.

Hence why you have to take all the precautions to not. Remove the CPU cooler and GPU and ship it separately, make sure to get both bubble wrap and styrofoam cover through the entire outer perimeter, and put all of those in a wooden crate.

If i was about to change countries then maybe i would sell the PC and rebuild a new one at the new place when i arrive. Probably would go AM5 with either the cheapest option - 7600X or balls to the wall with the 7800X3D, but certainly will make sure to include either a 7900XTX or a 4090 in it, depending on how far i can stretch the budget.

Then I'd opt to sell and build somewhere else later.

However what country is the destination because it could be that parts are WAY more expensive and it would make a ton more sense to get some if not all major parts beforehand.

AM5 is the socket. Ryzen 9 is the class of the CPU.

Is the 3900x 12 core?

Edit:

This still looks like a nice machine. Maybe just upgrade your case to something like a corsair 4000D or Lancool 216.

If you want to upgrade your CPU, youll have to get an AM5 mobo and a Ryzen 7000 series cpu.
