I have a 3570k and the almost only PC parts reseller here at Finland has taken their all good 1155 motherboards out of the market exept a Gigabyte Z77x UP7 which costs about 521 usd. Which is alot atleast for me.

So i'm going between the Z77 board which costs 521 usd and a bundle which consists a Saberthoot Z87 and a i5 4670K and this costs about 617 usd.

I also could buy a cheaper Z87 and a 4670K with smaller price.

So which one should i get?

Go with the 4670k. It's newer and better.

Depending ofc whats your definition of good mobo, for me it seems that Jimms has several good options beside UP7. http://www.jimms.fi/listaa/981 tietokonekauppa.fi has bit more limited but still few good options like UP4 from Gigabyte.

4670k. Cheapest Z87 overclocks like the best. All that matters is the chip/cooling. You will be from 4.1-4.7 and where you will be? No idea. Haswell has new instructions, and higher single core performance. Ivy wasn't exactly Sandy overclocking. You can "lose" on both, but if you "lose" on Haswell it is still fast.

You don't upgrade from an Ivy to a Haswell, and you don't even upgrade from Sandy (if you got a good overclocker) to Haswell, but you don't buy a Ivy over a Haswell if they are same price. Haswell can excel in some things due to the new instructions. Things like Dolphin emulator already use them and a Haswell blows away Sandy/Ivy in it.

Will we see those new instructions used in games? Might be awhile, but grab the Haswell just in case.

Well aesthetics mean much to me, and the mb's on Jimm's and Tietokonekauppa are not pretty enought for me. The performance is ofc important too but if it's ugly i won't use it. Also i don't want a dirt cheap mb, and those dirt cheap mb's Jimm's only seems to have in their warehouses at the moment (LGA1155) and i don't like wait lol
