Black screen while using PC

my best thought is that it may possibly be your tv

try switching around what hdmi port you are using

if that doesn't work try and find another monitor/tv to test it with

Hey,

I built a PC to replace the PC I had for over 5 years now. Some parts I had for years now while upgrading my other PC (aka my gaming/streaming PC.) I bought a new motherboard (listed below,) and a new case. My HDD which also was part of my older PC is where Windows boots from.

Took me about 2 hours to finally built said PC but been dealing with an annoying issue. Every few hours my TV goes dark but I still get sound and if I'm watching an YT video I can still pause the video. So I still have control of my PC but I just can't see anything. The screen comes back on if I remove the HDMI cable from my graphics card and plug it back on but it's tedious.

I updated my motherboard's BIOS, remove my graphic card's drivers and reinstall them, even switched to another graphics card but the problem still exist. I even checked other videos that may have solved my issue but after an hour or even longer in some cases, it goes dark again.

My PC:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz

Motherboard: ASUS Prime B550-Plus Mtherboard

GPU: ROG Geforce RTX 2060 6gb

PWS: Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 650W Bronze Fully Modular

RAM: Ripjaws V 16gb ram (ddr4) (2x8GB)

HDD: 1TB Harddrive

I'm not overclocking my GPU or CPU and I recently became aware my CPU and my Motherboard aren't compatible with each other even with me updating my BIOS.

I'm running out of options and if anyone has an solution for this issue I would greatly appreciated it!

Can you try a different cable?

Already did. When I tried one HDMI cable, I went to Canada Computers and bought another one. It's even a HDMI 2.1 but nothing has changed.

Already did switched to all the other HDMI ports on my TV. Problem still occurs

In fact, this only started to happened after I took apart my old PC and built my current one.

And I don't have another monitor/tv to try out.

I don't think the problem is my tv. and my tv is connected to a surge protector.
