I and my friend are almost running the same rigs the only diffrence is the GPU.

For some reason when my card boost it still cant keep up with his R9 280X and he got the card cheaper too

 

here are our rig specs

 

CPU : intel I5 4670K

 

MoBo : Asus Gryphon Z87

 

Mem : 1 TB WD Blue a (a samsung EVO for the win 8 os)

 

Ram : AVEXIR Core 2400C10 (16GB=2x8GB) blue led

 

PSU : Corsair CX 600M

 

and we just build these rigs for only a week

 

please help me understand

thank you

 

PS we both have the same fans and casing too

onl the GPUs are diffrent i.m runing SLI Asus 760 DCU II while his is the R9 280X DCU II Top edit xfire

 

Well what's the different in the benchmarks? a few fps?

The 280x is neck and neck with the 770. It's no surprise that it would outperform the 760.

Prices vary depending on region, time of purchase, and marketing. The more expensive option isn't always or even often better.

Seeing as 770's and 280xs trade blows in some games, theirs no surprise that dual 280x's beats dual 760s.  Don't know why 280x's are so cheap though, thought they were through the roof still because of mining.
