2000 is 2nd gen

3000 is 3rd gen

4000 is 4th gen

since its not the lowest class, as the i3 class, it wouldnt make sence to cut it off. ive any series will go in the 5th then its the i3

I could be wrong but I think OP meant do you think they'll change the name entirely.

 

Like before the core i'x' series their processors were the 'core' series with the core 2 solo,core 2 duo, core 2 quad, and core 2 extreme.

Before that was the Pentium series.

 

The way I took it was: do you think that the Core i series will have a 5th gen?
