this is what i did when this happened to me

 

place screwdriver inside of screw

 

unscrew while holdiing the other metal part in ur other hand so it doesnt twist with it

So I was recently disassembling and then reassembling my pc into a new case and it seems a screw is stuck into the standoff. I don’t know what to do someone please help.

When I try to do that the screw j doesn’t move that’s the issue but I’ll try again nonetheless.

get someone to hold it for u if ur not handy enough

yea it doesnt move cuz ur not holden the piece that its screwed into in ur other hand, preventing it from twisting

Hold the standoff with pliers or a wrench, and try unthreading the screw again.

 

If you can't get it to move without feeling like the screwdriver's going to slip off the screw head, just treat the mess as a screw next time you install that motherboard. If it won't move, it's probably severely crossthreaded and/or over-tightened.
