More RAM would be recommended. And a CPU upgrade. Especially if on 1080p.

For example, here's a 2700X vs a 5800X3D in Jedi Survivor

I'd recommend you to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X.

Try your system out as-is before you go buying anything. It's probably fine, even if your CPU might theoretically be the weakest link.

You've got an upgrade path, since Zen 3 is only a BIOS update away.

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-PRO-M2-V2/support#cpu

upgrade cpu to 5800x3d

gpu fine

mobo fine

ram fine, altho recomended (imo) to go 32gb

700w is a bittttttt on the edge for the 3070

get at least a 1tb nvme, so cheap now

5800x3d would be way better, just upgraded FROM a 5700x TO a 5800x3d, 60-70 fps increase in warzone, absolutely nuts

If it's the same 1440p resolution and the same GPU, there must be another cause of the frame rate increase. The 5800X3D, where the GPU isn't bottlenecked by the 5700X, would offer only slight improvements and only a real increase in smoothness (less frame variance, smoother frame times).

Tell me, did you change anything else, like the XMP of the RAM, reinstalled the OS, or updated drivers? Maybe turned SAM on?

docp profile 1, no change

didnt reinstall os

didnt update anything

SAM was already on

litteraly just took out 5700x, put in 5800x3d, put on some of dat kryonaut good stuff and booted up pc, set the multipler to the max GHz the cpu can (4.5ghz for x3d, 4.6ghz for 5700x)

and started up warzone

Only thing I would upgrade is your CPU. Other than that your specs look fine and shoot run most games fine. (make sure to update your drivers!)

FWIW there's like 0 difference between a 3600 and a 5800x3D framerate wise (i dont buy the "70fps" nonsense at all because it has been proven wrong again and again just have to look at benchmarks)

Only thing is see a difference is the 5800X3D being a bit more stable with more consistent frametimes.

well i don't think so... sounds to me something is wrong with ur mobo/bios or ram possibly, even the psu is quite questionable tbh.

Get a better mobo first imo, dont use XMP or any overclocks and see if that improves something.

You cpu isnt ideal but it shouldn't be that bad either.

I'd definitely upgrade to 32GB of RAM while it's ridiculously cheap. It won't stay that way.

i wonder if i get an additional 16gb bdie kit would that be compatible with the 16gb bdie kit i already have?

not that i need it, but maybe in near future it could be useful.

I mean the 3070 is maybe but iffy right now due to the VRAM amount. I have one and am going back and forth wether I should get something with more VRAM
