case fan setup. whats the best temps (using an lian li 011 case) vertical vs horizontal gpu

thrasher_565

well i was going to do this myself and might still do that but his video is way better then what i could do. interesting to see the front intake.

also a tower cooler test could be good to do too even thow height is a problem in this case.

Fantastic resource! Thanks!

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

I looked at his 5-cooler comparison and was surprised to see that the LL Galahad and DC LS620 and 2 others were defeated by the Arctic LCII on a 7950x. I'm assuming the fact that his results are different from KitGuruTech's is because they're testing on different CPUs (7950X vs 5950X)? Or, maybe when the Arctic was tested, KGT had the bad coldplate that is mentioned by Kleo.

BTW, you had said that thermal pads should be used for testing and I finally realized why - for consistency, because you can't guarantee that with a compound. Thanks!

I see that's not the only fan config test video Kleo's produced, which is great!

ya if they dont say, show the setup its not a good test imo. i just think what are they hiding???

well its realy hard to get accrete testing atlest on the cheap. the concussion that gn got too.

but people are people and well cave just to get a free item. its what it is not saying this guy is doing that but alot of others do. sad to say that cheating makes you more moeny...

and w/e they find a cheap say cooler is preforming better then an expensive cooler the price normally gos up... also another problem in its self..

to be fare thow alot of thows temps are probably with in error so dose it really matter at the end of the day?

another thing to note is cpus have gotten vary complex. the hot spots are in diffrnt spots. so one cooler that some how place more prsher in that one spot will get better cooling.

and then there hot spot temp data and core.
