Android right now only for a couple of reasons.

1. iOS animations are way too slow

2. Android has Google Now integration

3. Notifications are a lot better + notification light is really convenient

4. Not really software, but right now Android has the bigger screens

Having used iOS 7.1 and Android 4.4.2 i do prefer the latter, not only because i use mostly google services, but the os gives me more freedom and for a creative person like me that is a nice thing to have. Also i am a huge fan of on screen buttons, i don't think i could go back to a physical button.

I remember when Eclair and iPhone OS 3.0 were the latest, so "vs"-ing them was very important because they were literal clones of each other, both of them offering something better and something worse, so it was kindof a big deal.

Now they both went their own separate ways so it's not even important anymore; the software is so high-level it comes down to the hardware - What You See is What You Buy.

(or to better put it: if you don't like the look of the iPhone you basically go Android)

The End is Near
