Fujitsu Esprimo 5731 PC and a Recalcitrant GPU

Hi

The Fujitsu Esprimo 5731 PC has an intel e8500 CPU, 6Gb of ram, and 2 HDD. It dual boots Linux and Windows XP, so it's sort of retro to put it mildly.

The problem is that when I try to install a HD7570 PCI-e graphics card with 1Gb GDDR5 memory the system won't boot and issues forth some beeps as follows 4-2-3-3 (It appears to be a Phoenix bios). It then quite often goes into an infinite loop of re-booting and beeping.

So far the only clue I have about the meaning of the beeps is that it might have something to do with   'Extended Block Move' which I have no idea of the meaning of.

Several times I've reset the bios and set the GPU to PCI-e in the bios before I put the card in and out several times but nothing seems to work. I know there's nothing wrong with the GPU as it works fine in another more modern PC.

If anyone can suggest what the beeps actually mean or how I might try something else to get it working I'd appreciate it.

Regards Steve
