You can't center-align an embedded link.

I pasted a youtube link, it automatically turned into an embed. I tried to center align it, but it does not work.

 

I expected that the embed would center align.

At a technical level, this is working as intended, because embeds are block-level elements and don't respect text-level formatting, including centering. At a user level, I see why it would make sense to be able to align them, although I'm not sure of any compelling use cases for actually wanting to align content at all.
