Looking for a silent Radeon RX 6800XT model, shouldn't be loud under heavy load.

Do you have experience with the 6800, 6800XT and 6900XT cards and their cooling solutions?

I need to find the quietest of them all, and by that I mean under gaming load, even when overclocked (by having the power sliders maxed).

I play using open back headphones. The rest of the system is as silent as possible.

 

A great bonus would be if the card wouldn't have glitchy fans (my Sapphire Pulse 5700XT likes to run a single fan at 100% while reporting the fans running 0% RPM) and the fans would be easily replacable in a couple years.

Also, easily cleaned/repasted would be a bonus, ease of dissasembly.

I tend to use a single card for 3-4 years. Went from a Radeon HD 7770 to a 380X and then a 5700XT, now looking to upgrade.

 

Also, I am considering waiting for a Radeon 7700XT or 7800XT, but my patience is running out. AMD is taking their time.

You are pretty much SOL. You cant expect that to happen with Overclocking. You could try the Watercooled versions but they are generally just not worth it because of the increases price, you would be better off buying the newer cards. The 7700xT and 7800XT will not be silent by any means, they will cheap out on the cooler a bit, and AIB models will just cost 50$+ over that. 

 

Your experience with vendors on AMD would be better then most, probably Saphire would be one of the better bets, or a Powercolor.

The card should be as least loud as possible. As quiet as possible. I don't mean dead silent or totally quiet. Just not loud. Not jet engine loud or vacuum cleaner loud.

My AMD 6800 xt got hot, but didn't get too ridiculously loud. With open backs it was noticeable, but didn't down out games or anything like that when it was still under an air cooler.

AMD. I don't want to call it founder's edition because that's Nvidia, but it's what ever AMD calls their equivalent.

Still got it and it's more graphics card than that computer needs. It's got a water block on it now, but I've still got the cooler, original box and all the original mounting hardware for the cooler.

I'm using a Sapphire NITRO+ 6800XT, for about a year now, and no complaints about noise and temperatures.

At least, it's quieter than the fans in my chassis.

Coming from a NITRO+ 5700XT previously.

How is the performance uplift; not the numbers but the feel?

And the Radeon 6950XT prices seem to have dropped close to the 6800XT prices meaning I have a new option for a GPU.

The reason I upgraded from the 5700XT to the 6800XT was because I upgraded from a 1080p to 1440p monitor.

And I wanted to maintain High ~ Ultra in-game settings, while maintain basically 90+ FPS in the games I play so...

Yeah the 6900XT / 6950XT is quite a good deal if you can find it on sale, and I'd recommend that if you can get a hold of one, over a 6800XT.

The 7900 XT / XTX isn't too bad either.
