When is comes to cooling a 13700KF what Thermal Pastes and AIOs or Air coolers are best to consider?

A bit of context for you I really like Noctua coolers from the performance I I seen for them and the Deep Cool LS720 seems pretty promising for an AIO.

The Buget of the build is $2500 and I am coming pretty close to it already.

You couldve sent us the build over at New Builds and Planning for us to send feedback for you. 2500$ is a lot but without knowing the purpose, where youre going to buy, and what else do you need besides the PC we cant give you more conscience decision other than just cooler.

I like SYY paste and Thermalright coolers 🤘

I have a Strix B660-i and Thermalright Contact Frame. I will be putting a 13700K into it with either an FC140 or PS120SE. I have 2x FC140s, a PA120SE, a TRUE Black Rev.4, and my PS120SE will be here tomorrow 😄

AMD R7 5800X3D | Thermalright Aqua Elite 360, 3x TL-B12, 2x TL-K12
Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | 32GB G.Skill Trident Z @ 3733C14 1.5v
Zotac 4070 Ti Trinity OC @ 3045/1495 | WD SN8501TB, SN850X2TB
Seasonic Vertex GX-1000 | Fractal Torrent Compact, 2x TL-B14, TL-D14X

Still trying to find a good Case with good air flow and Top support for a 360mm AIO.

Okay that build is pretty credible, good job. If this is for gaming i definitely recommend going 13500 with a B6/760 board instead which should cost compress us (and adversely avoiding this entire thread in the first place as you can just run Thermalright Phantom Spirit or Peerless Assassin 120 for 40$ and that would be more than enough) far enough to be able to get 7900XT or XTX at under 2000 and 2100$ respectively.

But if this is a more versatile build, id downgrade to locked with B6/760 board instead unless if you want to undervolt the hell out of it in which case id recommend its pro sibling instead. And for cooling? LS720 is solid but AK620 would be enough for stock operation on 13700KF. Thermal paste recommendation would be pretty much anything nowadays but if you can find them in stock, Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is it.

How much of a thermal difference between the 13500 and 13700kf?

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂
