Which one is better?

I would personally go for the 670, but the never settle bundle that is included with the 7970 makes is a better deal, if you like the games that are included in it.

I would recommend the 7970 Ghz edition, if your just playing games. However, if your playing games along side video editing, photo editing, and or doing 3d modeling, than I would recommend the 670, judging on the fact that the Nvidia variant has CUDA cores, while the AMD Variant has stream processors. The difference is that CUDA cores are utilized better than stream processors in applications such as Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, 3ds Max, 3ds Maya, and a whole lot more. I think the never settle bundle is awesome, but I would go with the 670 for the games and then some.

I would go for the 670 (and did) but only because I've had fewer driver issues with nVidia.

7970 wrecks the 670 in games. 

 

If you're editing in 3d, adobe, etc. consider the 670.

Oh I know what you mean with the horrible drivers from AMD Radeon HD I mean they are so bad they outperform nvidia at every price bracket.

I would go for the 7970, but if you plan on playing at a high resolution the 670 would be the way to go.

I really don't understand why people bash the radeon drivers. From my experience both camps have had their share of problems just amd usually have better value for their cards.

 

Personally i would with the 7970, and from experience i can say they are amazing cards :)

. So if I were to play at 1920x1080 I should get the 670?

The 7970 will be good since a single 1080p isn't playing at high resolution to me. Playing at high resolution to me is like having 2-3 1080p monitors.

The 7970 is the better choice at the moment when it comes to price to performance, AMD is beating Nvidia pretty bad and the AMD cards are more optimized to more AAA games that came out this year.

I did not say that radeon cards were poor performers, I've owned more radeon cards than I have nvidia (because of the price-performance ratio), but when i had them I had more issues with them.

 

That's not bias. I've tried both, and I've had more success with nVidia.
