A case I'm going to be modding soon has a solid steel bottom and I want to use a 4 1/2" hole saw to cut a hole in the bottom for the PSU fan. I just dont know how you would go about installing a fan filter for the PSU without hardware interferance. And I'm not going to mount the PSU fan side up because im going to be fabricating a PSU cover to hide the PSU and cables.

Anybody have any ideas or tutorials?

Get a magnetic fan filter best things ever!

Have them stick to the bottom of the opening and it'll be easily removable for a good washing when dirty.

How reliable are they for PC transport?

They magnets stick really well to steel cases and don't readily come off even when shaking or moving them around.

Just a side note DEMIfilters also have a non-ferrous option that give a stickon magnetic cutout you can add to give better magnetic properties since it's a magnet to magnet contact.

Its gonna be an old steel case so the ferrous will be plenty i imagine

Rather than cutting a big hole in the bottom of the case you could just drill a bunch of 3/8" holes and put a filter over that. That way the case wouldn't lose as much strength
