Thanks for the concern everyone. We are still in recovery mode over here and working with YouTube to get everything restored. Will hopefully have a video (or at least an update on WAN Show) to share with you all ASAP, but we want to make sure we get the details right since smaller channels may rely on our experience to help harden their own security.

Really hope this gets reversed.  I am guessing he has all the videos backed up off site but this might take a while to correct completely - seems to have destroyed his subscriber count.  YouTube need to see this does not happen to anyone else and get this sorted out as soon as possible. Making reparations ???

He said the other day he does, I believe it was on last weeks WAN show he said they have 2 "onsite" copies, another copy and a 4th copy backed up BackBlaze as another offsite. so 4 copies of data. It'll probably take a while to restore unless YouTube can do a point in time restore which should in theory be a lot quicker than having to reupload everything 🤞

no, it is the techlinked channel, but video's from tesla show up. How does that even work.

Regarding the YouTube channel hack, we are on top of it with Google's team now. Everything should be locked down and we are getting to the bottom of the attack vector with the (hopeful) goal of hardening their security around YouTube accounts and preventing this sort of thing from happening to anyone in the future.

That's better. My Floatplane account is tied to my old LTT forum account for reasons, so if I want to sign in on the app I have to change my default browser on my phone to a second browser, sign in through LTT with my old account, and then change it back.
