Hello all!

So, I'm going to water cool my computer in the next week or two.

I've got most of the loop figured out, but I need a few last things to be figured out.

I need a pump for my loop, and I was looking at the Swiftech MCP655-PWM pump, but the issue I'm having, is it's $212 (USD).

I need a pump that will work for my loop, but will be cheaper. What addons for a pump are worth while? PWM? Variable Speed?

And just some general help on what would be recommended would be nice

Loop contains:

2 GPU

1 CPU

1 Mobo (Gigabyte G.1 Sniper Integrated)

2 360mm Radiators (One is an Alphacool Monsta)

1 120mm Radiator

250ml Tube Res

Thanks all :)

Case: Lian Li PC011-D - CPU: 3900x - GPU: 2080ti Reference - Mobo: Gigabyte - Ram: Corsair 4x16gb 3200MHz - SSD: 2TB Samsung Evo NVME

I'll probably get hanged for this, but I have an EK DCP 4.0 and it runs great, very powerful pump. You do need to dampen the vibrations correctly and maybe get a controller to undervolt it a little, but it's completely silent if you do that.

Just suck the liquid through the tube and spit it out again. No need for your fancy pumps.

It's cheaper than I wrote (I think I was including a pump top [$50])

If you are going with aftermarket tops and housing, of course it will be more expensive. On the other hand, http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_201&products_id=30154 at $75 is also a D5.

Doesn't this still need pump top? That would add back another 50 bucks or so.

Yes, it does. Pump tops can be had for less than $50: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_439_771&products_id=31996 ($25)

Now that does not mean that this is the best performer of the lot but for $100 you have a fully function D5 if need be.

Is this functional enough to go through 4 blocks, and 3 radiators?

Depends on the blocks and radiators. Typically D5 pumps are for low restriction, high flow loops and DDC pumps are for high restriction loops.

So I should shoot for a DDC pump instead then?
