Any non-FPS games set in the Alien universe?

Giants: Citizen Kabuto

 

Is worth a try. It's a 3rd person shooter/RPG/RTS/racing game with a good funny story set in alien world... Quite unique experience.

FCE, it's first person but not a shooter, think tower defense Minecraft stranded on an alien world crafting missiles and a severe bug problem

Hmm,  NOT the Alien universe. But there are aliens. Not a FPS and it seems to fill some of the things you listed.

Have not played, it is interesting and unlike any games I own. But I have an 80-90 game backlog already, who knows if I'll ever play it. But if it goes on a deep sale, might just pick it up anyways.

 

So I usually recommend reading a dozen reviews, half good and half bad. And see if the bad things are enough to put you off or good enough to overcome that.

I think the game's called XCOM or something like that, it's a turn based strategy alien game
