Looking for a rack mount case.

Hey all,

Trying to find a case that will fit my needs and having some difficulty. Basically I want to transplant a computer running some management software to a new case because the psu in the old Dell case died.  

I'm looking for a case that will mount in a compact wall mounted rack with a matx mother board and 2 3.5 inch mounts. 

My biggest problem has been the depth.

The rack looks like it only has 15inchs of usable depth. 

Anyone know of something that would work?

If you search for "2U case" on Amazon you can find ones as short as 10 inches but will require a mini-ITX motherboard.  Depending on where you live, you might be able to find plenty of second hand cases as companies throw away thousands of cases at a time when moving to cloud computing or when companies go out of business.  

 

Note that rack cases are generally loud as they're made to sit in data centers.  You might be better off just buying a tray for your rack and slipping a small computer case on the rack instead.  Less pretty but will be a lot more quiet.
