i want to install ubuntu on a pendrive

To liveboot off it? Its the same as burning an ISO for installation, just click "Try Ubuntu" instead of "Install Ubuntu" to switch it from install to live. Do be noted that you gonna need space for Ubuntu's relatively huge (compared to other Linux distros) size, and also your documents.

Will it keep my data or erase it after restart and 64 gb pendrive is enough ?

Doing it that way would start fresh each time.

If you want a permanent install:

- Create a USB installer as usual

- Disconnect all physical drives from PC

- Plug that installer and the pendrive you want to install to

- Run through the install normally, installing to the pendrive.

You'll want to use a high quality drive or it'll be slow as hell, and it'll probably die in a year or 2 depending on how often you use it.

Ah yeah, I saw the ubuntu link, that is the wrong link @SorryClaire, luckily Ubuntu's documentation is next level compared to other distros.

Here's a useful link from the ubuntu site - https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows#1-overview
