I've recently built my pc and want more than my 120GB of storage, I've got $180 in credit in total and I've got 2 options:

1: Get another 120GB SSD for $149 and put them in raid 0 for a total of 240GB for a total of $300

2: Convince my mom to pay the extra cash so I can buy a 250GB SSD for $249 and sell my current SSD and pay her back the extra $100.

3: Get another 120GB SSD for $149 and just use them separate one for games and media and one for my OS.

Thanks in advance btw guys :)

Easiest option is running either an extra SSD or HDD with the current SSD. I'd suggest HDD due to the limited budget and the fact you get much more space for storage of data. Next best option would be to upgrade to 250GB and clone over your OS install, saves time but blows out your budget. Lastly RAID0 is an OK option (worst) but means you need to do a full reload and you get the horrid RAID splash screen on boot.

Buy ear plugs or a headset and re-install the drive, call it a day.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

I dont mean it just running noise, I mean the vibration.  Every now and then it vibrates so loud its a loud buzzing sound and I have to push the bottom of the drive cage to stop it.

I dont know where to get one in NewZealand.

Some kitchen stores have them for mats to protect counters, or art stores for artist to set their paint stuff on.

For just media storage you could get slow 5400rpm drive. For vibration, link me where you get tech stuff. I have set of Scythes antivibration things. Before I could hear 1tb drive ramping but now most noise comes from GPU.

Yeah, I just tried putting my hard drive on a sponge.  Still didn't stop vibration, do you think its my drive cage itself? idc anyways, should get myself a cheap v300 tomorrow just as a second drive.

Then I might as well put them into raid 0?

I wouldn't. If one dies, then all your data is gone.

Its probably your drive cage, maybe get creative with some rubber bands or something around where it sits

I literally cannot hear my hard drive and Its about 2foot from my ear on my desk, and there is an open fan mount opposite it so the sound can go directly into my ear
