A770 or 3060ti

Srijan Verma

My 3+ year old just died today.
The 3060ti & a770 are going the same price (the a770 being slightly cheaper).

If you were in the same boat what would you do? ( I know that i should probably get the 3060ti for dlss, nvidia broadcast, cuda acceleration etc) but for some reason i want to give the a770 a go).

It'll be paired with a 12700k.

Really depends on what games you'll be playing, and if you want headaches.

If you want it to work "flawlessly" and not have to live in a promise of better performance, the 3060ti is going to be the better bet. If you only play new games with modern APIs and the top 10 current games, an A770 might be something that could work for you.

What about AMD you could get 6800 (check for 6750, 6700Xt ,6700 and 6600Xt)  for the same prize as 3060Ti. amd cards will be better in this budget but you dont get the nvidia things like dlss and stuff like that. if you are going for gaming only amd will do if you want productivity tools like blender or anything Nvidia is the only choice.

These seem like conflicting points. If you want something that "just works" for applications like Premiere and Blender, then the A770 is a terrible choice. So just go with the 3060Ti. If you avoid AMD because of issues, then you should avoid Intel right now like the plague. Any problem with AMD's GPUs is way worse right now with Intel's GPUs.
